On your Obodo shop, Webpages are places for you to add large bodies of text that customers can refer to during their visit. Webpages are used as a reference where the information is too large to be added to a Product or Category page or would require duplication - which is something that search engines frown upon.

Webpages are also incredibly useful for helping customers get to know all about your Obodo shop as you can tell the tale of how the business began as well as providing the customers with useful information such as how to contact you.

Default Webpages

You’ll notice on your own Obodo shop that you have two default Webpages already - Terms and Privacy.

Terms - This Webpage details information for your customers regarding the use of the shop itself, confirming what customer can and can’t do on your Obodo shop.

Privacy - This Webpage details how information customers may give to your Obodo shop is used. This covers both technical aspects - such as cookies - and more common aspects - such as a delivery address - and how this information is processed.

Both of these Webpages can be edited, but cannot be deleted. It is advised that you do not edit the existing default text as it covers all kinds of Obodo shops, regardless of the Products that they sell.

Essential Webpages

These are Webpages which you need to create regardless of what kind of Products or services that you sell on your Obodo shop. They provide vital information for customers and also allow them to get to know more about your brand and ethos.

Contact - A Contact page needs to list all of the ways that customers can contact you, which is essential. A Contact Form is useful, as are links to the associated social media profiles that you’ve created to promote your Obodo shop. You also need to add in directions for customers to be able to find your shop and your opening hours. It also helps to embed a Google Map as well as publish your physical address to make it even easier for customers to locate you.

Delivery - Let your customers know how their orders will arrive with them. Include how the Products will be packaged (if your Products are sent on pallets or in specialist packaging), and how they will be delivered or can be collected.

Returns - If a customer has a problem with their order, what is your Returns Policy? You need to detail whether returns will be accepted if they have been used, or when they need to be returned by in order to be refunded. 

About - An About Webpage is recommended as it’s here you can tell the story about your Obodo shop. When were you founded? What made you get into this industry? What is your ethos? Where are your premises? What makes you stand out from others in your industry?

Formatting your Webpages

When you have created and added content to your Webpage, you need to ensure that any content you have added fills at least to the fold line. This means that when you view the Webpage on a laptop or desktop, there is enough content to fill the Webpage without any empty ‘negative’ space at the bottom. If there is more content than that, forcing the reader to scroll further down the Webpage, that’s fantastic. You can use horizontal images to add to the content to help you fill the space if need be.
